Jakob Aichelin takes over a stove and oven factory in Stuttgart. This step marks the beginning of AICHELIN's company history.

In the decades following its foundation, AICHELIN evolved from the artisanal construction of ovens to the first industrial applications and thermal processes.

Internationalization

Construction of a new production facility in Austria. Eastern Europe and Asia are supplied from here. The Korntal plant (Germany) is responsible for Western Europe, America, Africa and Australia. As a result: intensification of internationalization.

Growth into a group of companies

AICHELIN develops into an internationally active group of companies:

  • 1992 - Foundation of NOXMAT

  • 1997 - Berndorf AG becomes majority shareholder

  • 2000 - Takeover of EMA

  • 2007 - SAFED becomes part of the AICHELIN Group

  • 2010 - Joint venture AICHELIN-Unitherm (India)

  • 2012 - BOSIO strengthens the Group

  • 2016 - AFC-Holcroft becomes part of the AICHELIN Group

Further development of the Aichelin Group

Since 2020, AICHELIN has been consistently developing its organization, technologies and business areas to address new industrial requirements.

  • 2022 - AICHELIN Assembly Center Europe as new assembly plant in Celje (SL)

  • 2022 - Entry into the battery sector with joint venture AICHELIN KILNPARTNER

  • 2022 - NOXMAT expands its product range for the aluminum industry

  • 2024 - Expansion of the portfolio to include industrial vacuum furnaces

  • 2025 - Acquisition of NITREX business units (NTS & UPC)

  • 2025 - Expansion in Asia with new locations in India and China
