Vacuum Oil Quenching Furnaces
Maximum quenching quality under vacuum

The Vacuum Oil Quenching furnace series (VOQ) from Aichelin has been specifically developed for heat treatment processes where conventional gas quenching is insufficient. Thanks to the double-chamber design, the entire process – from heating to quenching – takes place under vacuum. The result: consistent hardness values, minimal distortion, and high reproducibility.

Additional technical features

  • Gas-tight double-chamber system for oil quenching under vacuum

  • Fast and low-vibration transfer mechanism between heating and quenching chambers

  • Precise temperature control up to 1,350 °C

  • Minimized distortion through controlled cooling rates

  • Reproducible results through automatic process documentation

  • Maintenance-friendly design with good accessibility of the transport mechanism

Questions & Answers
FAQ – Aichelin Vacuum Oil Quenching Furnaces
An Aichelin vacuum oil quenching furnace is a double-chamber system that heats components under vacuum and quenches them directly in an oil bath – ensuring maximum quenching rates, bright surfaces, and minimal distortion.
The use of an Aichelin vacuum oil quenching furnace is ideal when the cooling rate of gas quenching is insufficient, for example with massive components requiring high cooling rates.
The system combines high process reliability, bright surfaces, low distortion, and precise temperature control in a compact design.
Hardening, tempering, carbonitriding, and low-pressure carburizing (LPC) can be performed in a closed vacuum process.
Process control is carried out via a SCADA-based system with automatic documentation of temperature and pressure conditions.
The system complies with international standards such as AMS 2750, CQI-9, NADCA, and NADCAP – fully audit-ready for industrial serial production.
Aichelin offers comprehensive services: maintenance, modernization, spare parts supply, TUS/SAT testing, leak testing, and remote support to ensure maximum system availability.
