Ring Hearth Furnace
Compact series production with integrated quenching

Aichelin ring hearth furnaces are designed for applications requiring uniform material flow and precisely controlled carburizing. Multi-zone furnace concepts enable accurate temperature and atmosphere control throughout the entire process. In combination with integrated quenching systems and, in particular, efficient and sustainable high-pressure gas quenching, stable series processes with reproducible component properties can be achieved.

Additional technical features

  • Combines the advantages of rotary hearth and pusher furnaces for flexible process control

  • Zone separation by intermediate doors for precise temperature control

  • Efficient batch transport with minimal drive motor requirements

  • Long service life of base trays due to lightweight design

  • Compact system layout with low space requirements

Questions & Answers
FAQ – Aichelin Ring Hearth Furnace Systems
An Aichelin ring hearth furnace system is a compact heat treatment system for carburizing and oil quenching of serial parts and combines rotary hearth and pusher furnace technology in a single system concept.
The Aichelin ring hearth furnace system offers high energy efficiency, reduced installation time, long service life of base trays, and uniform hardening results.
Heating is provided by gas and electric heating systems. Atmosphere control is precisely adapted to the process using endogas or nitrogen/methanol with additional gases. All protective atmosphere systems are equipped with nitrogen safety systems.
They are ideally suited for case hardening or carbonitriding of large volumes (series production of shafts, wheels) and transmission components made of case-hardening steels.
Heat treatment is carried out by carburizing followed by quenching in an immersion oil bath.
Process quality is ensured by zone separation with intermediate doors and precise control of temperature and carbon potential.
They enable low energy and gas consumption, high process stability, fast commissioning, and long component service life.
Integration of FOCOS 4.0 enables central process monitoring, batch traceability, fault diagnostics, and complete data recording for quality assurance and energy analysis.
